工作原理
The alumina component functions by maintaining thermal insulation at the meniscus region of the mold, reducing heat loss from the molten steel to the copper mold. It melts progressively to form a liquid slag layer that lubricates the strand, absorbs inclusions, and creates a uniform heat flux profile for controlled solidification of the steel shell.

High-purity alumina (≥85% Al₂O₃) with silica (SiO₂)calcium oxide (CaO)and sodium oxide (Na₂O) additivesmay include carbonaceous materials for melting rate control.
