An industrial actuator button is a mechanical or electromechanical component designed to initiate or control machine operations through manual actuation. It serves as the primary human-machine interface element in control switch assemblies, converting operator input into electrical signals or mechanical movements to start, stop, or modify machine functions. These components are engineered for high-cycle durability, environmental resistance, and reliable performance in industrial settings.

The actuator button operates on a simple mechanical principle: when depressed by an operator, it either completes an electrical circuit (in momentary switches) or changes the state of a mechanical linkage (in latching switches). In electrical versions, the button movement causes contacts to close or open, sending signals to the machine's control system. Mechanical versions use spring-loaded mechanisms to maintain or change positions.
