工作原理
The volute casing operates on the conservation of angular momentum principle. As fluid leaves the impeller at high velocity, it enters the volute's gradually expanding spiral passage. This expansion reduces fluid velocity while increasing static pressure according to Bernoulli's principle. The design ensures uniform pressure distribution around the impeller, minimizing radial loads and improving pump efficiency.

Typically 316L stainless steel (ASTM A240/A276) for CIP applicationswith surface finish Ra ≤ 0.8 μm. Alternative materials include duplex stainless steels (2205) for higher corrosion resistance or cast iron with protective coatings for non-critical applications.
