Baffle plates, also known as vanes, are structural elements installed within moisture separators to alter the flow path of gas streams containing liquid droplets. They create turbulence or directional changes that force droplets to impinge on surfaces, coalesce, and drain away from the gas flow, thereby improving separation performance in industrial systems.

工作原理
Baffle plates operate on inertial separation principles. As gas flows through the separator, the plates change flow direction abruptly. Liquid droplets, due to their higher inertia compared to gas molecules, cannot follow the rapid turns and collide with the plate surfaces. These droplets then coalesce and drain by gravity, while the cleaned gas continues through the system.

Typically constructed from corrosion-resistant materials: stainless steel (AISI 304316)aluminum alloysor coated carbon steel. Material selection depends on operating temperaturepressureand chemical compatibility with process fluids.
